To the Love of my Life...

I am so glad you found me. Thank you for the craziest 7 years of my life.  I has been amazing and it will only get better. (we're still young...right?)

A fun Week

My Mom and Dad were able to come into town the weekend of Adam (and Maddy's) Birthday.  We got to get together with the cousins for dinner two nights in a row and even had FHE together.  We are so lucky to have the cousins close by again.  My boys are always asking to have more time to play.  I hope it is always that way.

This is Jason, Heather's youngest. He was hamming it up every time I got the camera up.  He is a doll.  He and Adam probably got the most of the Denos genes...what do you think?

Our sweet 1 year old FINALLY crawling on hands and knees.  He is actually pulling up on things and crusing around furniture a bit more.  He will walk someday ;)

Uncle Taylor was a sport and sat in the middle of the wild animals to read us a story about Nephi for FHE.

Grandma's turn with our little chunker.  This boy lights up with the extra attention.  He was loving the extra love and showing off his great personality.

This is the super-cool train track that grandpa built with Tyler and Jake while I took Adam to the Dr.  Only a grandpa could figure out how to make a bridge and connect all the loops like that.  Train tracks are not my strong suit.  We usually end up with ovals when mom is in charge.  The boys absolutely loved their morning with Grandpa!

Tyler's photography.  He wanted to take a picture, so I let him. And, although I don't love being on that end of the camera, it is nice to prove that I am in fact a part of the family every now and then.  Jacob obviously could have cared less.

Jacob's photography (with my help) we actually got Tyler to look at the camera and not have a goofy look on his face.  I think I will always love those eyes no matter which way they are looking.

Wednesday we met up with our friends at the Children's museum and Tyler kept talking about working on the race car.  He thinks he's practicing to work with daddy at Carmax someday...since he still insists he's never getting married and that he is going to stay with us forever and work at CarMax with his dad.  We'll see buddy!

Jake had fun getting into it too.  He's been a little reserved lately- but if Tyler does it then you can count on Jake giving it a try too.

Our little sweetheart. He loved it when he was freed from the stroller and got to play in the little part just for babies.  Although he was the biggest one by far and looked like an ogre.  The other babies in there were half his size (and half his age). It was so much fun to see good friends for the day and see the boys explore and learn.

What a difference a year makes...

Happy Birthday Adam. We are so glad you are a strong, healthy, sweet, boy.  Love you so much!

Funny Boys

Today started off stressful with too much "correcting" (aka yelling) and short tempers.  The day got better when Adam finally took a nap and the boys got dressed and excited to go to the park.
The day got even better when we went to the park and even though it was windy and cold there was another mom there with her kids that are my kids' ages and they played so well together.
After that it was pretty much all roses...well, mostly.
Tonight, after dinner and saying bye to daddy I had to get poor, sick, Adam to bed.  He went down early and the boys ended up watching Mr. Rodger's Neighborhood video clips- you know how he used to take us on "field trips" to learn about different things.  Tonight's clip was about making towels.

Well, Tyler got silly and pulled out my hair elastic and starting "doing" my hair.  Which usually means just getting it all knotty.  Jake joined in.  The boys got the squirt bottle and told me to sit still while they did my hair.  They ended up cracking up while they styled my hair.  All they really did was get it soaking wet and brush it- but they thought they were so funny.  We were all in stitches. 

I love it when being patient and letting them do something a little silly (which sometimes I find annoying) ends up being a great memory where we are all laughing and just enjoying being together.  They went to bed so easily after laughing together and they even worked together taking turns.  I am just grateful they didn't surprise me with any scissors in my hair styling!

Tonight I am thankful for the times we find to laugh.  I hope we find something to laugh about tomorrow- because it sure feels good!

A little more of our life in January

Adam is finally learning how to pull-up on things.  This was probably the first time that he pulled himself up. He as also mastered climbing up stairs- but not getting down them.

Little guy is adopting the same under-bite smile that Jake will do sometimes.



Poor Adam's first real injury- from his crib falling apart (with him in it) thanks to his crazy big brother.  Thankfully the bleeding stopped quickly and no stiches were needed.  He ended up with a pretty sweet shiner for a day or two- but that's about all.



We found a new donut store on this side of town.  Jacob specifially asked for the donut with "chocolate and coconut"...who taught him what coconut is?!



Our new (from goodwill) kids table and chairs.  The boys love to eat there, play there, and entertain their guests at their very own table.




Tyler got a Red donut.  Possibly to try to get as messy as possible :)




Adam's first experience with donuts.  He chowed down on the donut holes like a champ...and then gave them back a little while later.  I think his eyes were bigger than his stomach! 




One Saturday with daddy home we went to the Las Vegas Temple as a family.  Ryan was the only one who had been there the entire time we have lived here.  The boys were a bit testy that day so it was a quick visit, but the next day Tyler was already asking when we can go back and see the angel Moroni.




The boys- Not enjoying the cold and bummed that the water fountain wasn't running.  Oh- and there was a wedding taking place so we talked about getting married in the temple for time and all eternity.  Tyler still says that he isn't ever getting married.  He wants to live with mom and dad forever and work at CarMax with daddy.  Jacob's response- he's going to marry Georgia.  Not sure if that is a name, a place, or something else...but he thinks he's hilarious when he says it!



Being Productive is F-U-N

We generally pass our days doing what everyone else does, but then there are those days where I actually get stuff done.

Last Saturday Adam took a good morning nap and I actually got to clean the downstairs.  We're talking, vacuum, sweep, steam mop, counters, bathroom, table, chairs, picked-up, clean.  It was awesome.  It was even better because the boys helped- without fighting...too much.

Then today- we started dinner while Adam napped because I took dinner to a family in the ward for my new calling- compassionate service- then we went to Target to get Adam's birthday present and score some coupon finds (which is VERY rare for me to actually figure out how to get any kind of deal so I was pretty pumped), took the boys to lunch (with a coupon), played at the park for 15 minutes before preschool, dropped off Tyler, went home and got Adam down for nap, played computer games with Jake, made phone calls for my calling, read stories with Jake who decided to not nap, when back to pick up Tyler, came home and set up the rest of dinner, got a call to go play soccer at the park with Heather and the cousins, played until 4:45pm (oops) came home, woke up Ryan and finished the pasta and rolls to go with dinner, got the boys fed, ran dinner to the family we were taking it to, came home, finished feeding the boys, sent Ryan out the door to work, helped poor, sick, Tyler into bed, played a little more, got the little boys dressed for bed, brushed teeth, read books, sang songs, and tucked 3 little heads into their beds....whew!

It feels good to get a lot done sometimes.  Today I earned my pay ;)
